Adjust Inventory

Adjust Inventory is used to adjust stock counts within a warehouse bin or within an inventory package PCID. This is usually performed by the warehouse manager/supervisor.

Adjusting Inventory Process:

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Adjust Inventory.

  2. Enter or scan a part number or part product code in the Part Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the search list icon beside the Part Number to select from a list, tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate Part Number.

  1. Enter the adjustment quantity and unit of measure, provide a reason for the adjustment.

Scanning a part or a product code barcode opens the scan incrementor. The quantity increases with each scan of the barcode until the required value is reached. The count value from the incrementor will transfer to the Quantity field upon accepting the count value.

The Warehouse Code field is populated by default with the selected part's Primary Warehouse Code in the logged in Site. Bin Number field may also be populated with that warehouse's Primary Bin if defined.

  1. To change default values in either of the Location fields (Warehouse or Bin) scan or enter a new value or click the search list icon beside the field and chose one from a list of available values.

  2. Total part on hand quantity in the selected warehouse is shown (in brackets) in the Warehouse Code field label and the on hand quantity in the selected bin is shown (in brackets) in the Bin Number label.

  3. On hand quantity of a selected Lot is also shown in brackets in the Lot Number field label for lot tracked parts.

  4. Click PROCESS to perform adjustment transaction.

Adjusting PCID Packaged Stock Process:

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Adjust Inventory.

  2. Enter or scan in the PCID field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the search list icon beside the PCID field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate PCID number.

  3. A modal will open, and users are required to select which item within the PCID package to adjust.

  4. Enter the adjustment quantity and unit of measure, provide a reason for the adjustment.

The adjusted part Location cannot be modified as it is associated with a PCID package location.

Enabling AdHoc Count in Settings

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Settings and select Inventory.

  2. In Inventory Settings, Under Adjust Inventory, Adjust the button to Enable Adhoc Count.

  3. Enter in the Employee Default Warehouse Code and the Default AdHov Count Reason Code,

  4. Enable the Remember Reason Code option if the Reason Code will be used for subsequent transactions.

AdHoc Count Function in Adjust Inventory

️ The AdHoc Count option will be enabled in Adjust Inventory once the prior settings are saved in Settings.

  1. In Adjust Inventory the AdHoc Count checkbox option will be available to use and can be used in these scenarios:

Scenario 1:

Current quantity 10, counted quantity 6. User reports 6 and in the background a quantity adjustment of -4 is made.

Scenario 2:

Current quantity is 10 and the counted quantity is 16. User reports 16 and in the background a quantity adjustment of +6 is made.

Scenario 3:

Current quantity is 10 and the counted quantity 10. User reports 10. No quantity adjustment needed.

Scenario 4:

Current quantity is 10 and the counted quantity is 0. User reports 0 and in the background a quantity adjustment of -10 is made.

Move Inventory

Move Inventory is used to move stock and packages from one location to another.

Moving Inventory Process:

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Move Inventory.

  2. Enter or scan a part number or part product code in the Part Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the search list icon beside the Part Number to select from a list, tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate Part Number.

Quantity Field

  • Other unit of measures can be shown and selected for quantity once a value has been entered in to the field.

  1. Enter the required information on the transaction.

    1. Scanning a barcode containing a product code or part number will open the scan incrementor.

  1. Click PROCESS.

Moving PCID Packaged Stock Process:

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Move Inventory.

  2. Enter or scan in the PCID field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the search list icon beside the PCID field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate PCID number.

  1. Click PROCESS.

To move a specific part from the package, use the Package Control / Build Split Merge in the handheld to first remove the item from the package.

Move Lot

️ The Move Lot function allows the user to move lots from a location to another location.

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  2. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Move Lot.

  1. In the TO section, enter in the warehouse code in the the Warehouse Code field, then enter in the bin number in the Bin Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Warehouse Code and Bin Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate warehouse number and bin number.

  1. Enter in the Lot Number in the Lot Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Lot Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate Lot number.

  1. Add any references in the Reference field if needed.

  2. Click on Process.

Move Serial Number

️ The Move Serial function allows the user to a number of items to a specific locationScan

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  2. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Move Serial.

  1. In the TO section, enter in the warehouse code in the the Warehouse Code field, then enter in the bin number in the Bin Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Warehouse Code and Bin Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate warehouse number and bin number.

  1. Scan or enter in the Serial Number in the Serial Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Serial Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate serial number.

  2. Add any references in the Reference field if needed.

  3. Click on Process.

Move PCID

️ The Move PCID functions allows the user to move the contents of a PCIDs from one location to another.

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  2. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select PCID

  1. In the TO section, enter in the warehouse code in the the Warehouse Code field, then enter in the bin number in the Bin Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Warehouse Code and Bin Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate warehouse number and bin number.

  1. Enter in the PCID in the the PCID field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the PCID field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate PCID.

  1. Add any references in the Reference field if needed.

  2. Click on Process.

Move Bin to Bin

️ The Move Bin to Bin functionality allows the user from certain location, which is defined by the warehouse and the bin, to move all the contents which are parts or PCIDs by ticking in the checkbox. Any unallocated stock that is present in that bin will be able to be moved. There is also an option if the user is using Parts to a given bin to their respective primary bins.

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  2. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Move Bin To Bin.

  1. In the FROM section, enter in the warehouse code in the the Warehouse Code field, then enter in the bin number in the Bin Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Warehouse Code and Bin Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate warehouse number and bin number.

  1. Tick on the checkbox if moving Parts or PCID, or both.

  2. If the user will move the respective parts to their respective primary bin, tick the respective Move to Primary Bin checkbox.

  3. In the TO section, enter in the warehouse code in the the Warehouse Code field, then enter in the bin number in the Bin Number field.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Warehouse Code and Bin Number field to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate warehouse number and bin number.

  1. Add any references in the Reference field if needed.

  2. Click on Process.

Cycle Count

Cycle Count will allow the addition or update of the physical count information for count tags or sheets in a selected cycle sequence. If the tag for which a count quantity is being entered was not originally generated as a blank tag, you cannot change the displayed part number, bin, lot, unit of measure, or serial number information. Before you enter count quantities for a tag or sheet, you must:

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Trackers and select Cycle Count.

  2. Select a Cycle Count.

  3. Search or enter Cycle Count Tag.

  1. Click GENERATE PART TAGS if required.

  2. Enter the required number of Part Tags.

    1. Enter Lot and Quantity details in the Tag Entry tab.

  1. Click CANCEL/OK.

Use the WORKSHEET screen for multiple UOMs

Cycle Count Extended

️ Add or update the physical count information for count tags or sheets in a selected cycle sequence. If the tag for which a count quantity is being entered was not originally generated as a blank tag, you cannot change the displayed part number, bin, lot, unit of measure, or serial number information. Before you enter count quantities for a tag or sheet, you must:

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Trackers and select Cycle Count Extended.

  1. Select a Cycle Count which displays tags on the Select Tag tab.

  1. Select the Scan Type to best fit your scanning.

  2. Search or enter values in the succeeding fields.

  3. Click ALL MATCHES to display available tags and click GENERATE TAGS if required.

  4. Complete the Part Number, Bin Number, Quantity, and UOM Code details in their respective fields in the Tag Entry tab.

    1. Click on WORKSHEET for multiple UOMs.

  5. In the Lot Number and Quantity fields, select or scan a line to enter Lot Number and Quantity in the Tag Entry tab.

    1. Click on WORKSHEET for multiple UOMs.

  1. Click SAVE.

UOM Split/Merge

️ Use UOM Split/Merge to split an inventory quantity expressed in a specific unit of measure (UOM) into one or more alternate units. You can also use this program to merge inventory quantities expressed in several alternate UOMs into a single UOM quantity. It can only be used for parts for which the Track Multiple UOMs check box is selected in Part Maintenance.

  • For example, for a Split UOM transaction, 100 units on a pallet be broken into one bag (two base units), one box (four base units), or nine cases (10 base units each or 90 total)

  • Conversely, if your inventory is stored in bags and boxes, you can use the Merge option to merge them into a single pallet of 100 base units When you save the transaction, the Epicor application uses the conversion factors defined in UOM Class Maintenance to determine if the quantities selected for merging, or splitting add up to the resulting UOM merge or split quantity. Entering split or merge transactions has the net effect of zero on the total physical on-hand inventory quantity for the part. The program updates two or more on-hand tracking part records and creates STK-ADJ PartTran records to reflect the changes.

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select UOM Split/Merge.

  2. Search or enter the Part Number, Warehouse, and Bin in their respective fields.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Part Number, Warehouse, and Bin fields to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate Part Number, Warehouse, and Bin.

  1. Enter the Quantity and UOM code in the Quantity and UOM Code fields and choose to MERGE or SPLIT.

  2. In the next screen, choose the number of the new UOM being created.

Unpick Sales Order

️ Use Unpick Sales Order to unpick the sales order that has been submitted for picking using the Fulfilment Workbench. You might do this if an order is cancelled after picking or if material needs to be reallocated to another order. To return picked material to its appropriate warehouse and bin, begin by entering or scanning the order number or PCID.

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Unpick Sales Order.

  2. Search or enter the Order Number, Line and Release numbers in the Order tab in their respective fields.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Order Number, Line and Rel fields to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate Order Number, Line and Release numbers.

  1. Search or enter the PCID in the PCID tab.

  2. Click UNPICK ORDER.

Unpick Transfer Order

️ Use Unpick Transfer Order to unpick the transfer order that has been submitted for picking using the Fulfilment Workbench. When you unpick a transfer order, you unpick materials for a specified transfer order line and part number, and then return them to a specified warehouse and bin. Example You create a transfer order to transfer 100 units of part A from Plant 1 to Plant 2. After the transfer order has been picked, you discover that the parts do not need to be transferred. You unpick the transfer order to change the status of the transfer order and return 100 units of part A to a selected warehouse and bin.

  1. Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left side of the screen to pull up the Main Menu.

  1. Under the Main Menu, tap on Inventory and select Unpick Transfer Order.

  2. Search or enter the Transfer Order Number and Line in the Order tab in their respective fields.

    1. Alternatively, tap on the list icon beside the Transfer Order Number and Line fields to select from a list, or tap on the filter icon to filter the list, and select the appropriate Transfer Order Number and Line.

  1. Confirm the Quantity to Unpick.

  2. Click UNPICK ORDER.
