Creating Sales Order Data

  1. Go to the Epicor instance you are connecting to (either the client or via the web browser).

  2. Search for and select the Order Entry module.

  3. Once opened, select the New button to create a New Order.

  4. Enter in the following details:

customer, need by and ship by date, and then click save. This will give you an order number

Customer

Input Customer

Need by and

Input Need by and

Ship by date

Input Ship by date

  1. In the Lines page and the Detail section and click on the New button to create a new line.

  2. Enter in the part and the quantity, and click on the Save button.

  1. Select the Ready to fulfill checkbox and on the Save button.

  1. The order will be seen in BDP.

Creating Transfer Order Data

  1. Go to the Epicor instance you are connecting to (either the client or via the web browser).

  2. Search for and select Transfer Order Entry module.

  3. Click the new button and enter from site.

The from site should be the plant you are using in BDP

  1. Click on the save button.

  1. Go to the Line Details section and click the New button to create a line.

  2. Complete the following details:

Title

Information

Part number,

Input Customer

Quantities

Input Quantities

Need by

Input Need by and

Ship by date

Input Ship by date

  1. Click on the Save Button.

Creating Miscellaneous Shipment Data

  1. Go to the Epicor instance you are connecting to (either the client or via the web browser).

  2. Search for and select Miscellaneous Shipment Entry module.

  3. Click the new pack button.

  4. At a minimum, enter in the ship date and the ship to information on the header details and click save.

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Shipment Lines. Add at least a valid Part Number and the Quantity to be shipped, then click Save.

  1. Once the shipment details are confirmed, return to the Header section. In the General Shipping Comments field, enter the text "BDP". This will be the trigger that sends the shipment to the BDP.

  1. Click on the Save Button.

The order should now display in BDP

Creating Return Material Authorization Data

  1. Go to the Epicor instance you are connecting to (either the client or via the web browser).

  2. Search for and select the Return Material Authorization module.

  3. Click the New RMA button.

  4. At a minimum, enter in the RMA date and the customer on the RMA header details and click save.

  1. Go to RMA Line Details and add a part, reason code and a quantity at a minimum and click save.

  1. Once the RMA details are confirmed, return to the RMA Header section. In the RMA Comments field, enter the text "BDP" This will be the trigger that sends the shipment to the BDP.

  1. Click on the Save Button.

Creating Purchase Order Data

  1. Log into Epicor instance you are connecting to

  2. Click ‘Purchase Order Entry’

  3. Click '+' icon to create a new record

  4. Enter supplier

  5. Enter due date

  6. Click ‘Save’

  7. Click '+' icon on lines

  8. Add part number

  9. Add part quantity

  10. Click ‘Save’

  11. Enter ‘BDP’ into header comments

  1. Click ‘Save’

  2. Log into BDP

Creating Subcontractor Shipment Data

**NOTE: subcontractor shipments require a job to be created as a pre-requisite. The steps to complete this are listed here from 1 - 21:

  1. Log into Epicor instance you are connecting to

  2. Click bento icon

  3. Search 'Job Entry'

  4. Click 'Job Entry'

  5. Click '+' icon to create a new job

  6. Enter part number

  7. Enter date

  8. Click 'Save'

  9. Click 'New Demand'

  10. Add quantity

  11. Click 'Assemblies' tab

  12. Right click on 'Operations' menu item

  13. Click 'New Subcontract Operation'

  1. Select operation

  2. Click 'Save'

  3. Expand operations menu item

  4. Click on newly created operation

  5. Enter 'Unit cost'

  6. Enter 'Days out'

  7. Click 'Save'

  1. Back on the Job Header

  2. Click 'engineered'

  3. Click 'released' and enter the date

  4. Click bento icon

  5. Search 'Subcontractor Shipment Entry'

  6. Click 'Subcontractor Shipment Entry'

  7. Click '+' icon to create a new subcontractor shipment entry

  8. Enter 'Supplier ID'

  9. Enter 'Ship Date'

  10. Enter 'Ship Via'

  11. Click 'Save'

  12. Click '+' icon on pack lines section

  13. Enter recently created job number

  14. Enter 'ASM'

  15. Enter 'Operation'

  16. Enter 'Shipped Qty'

  17. Click 'Save'

  1. Log into BDP

Creating Subcontractor Pickup Data

  1. Click ‘Purchase Order Entry’

  2. Click '+' icon to create a new record

  3. Enter supplier

  4. Enter buyer

  5. Enter due date

  6. Click ‘Save’

  1. Click '+' icon on lines

  2. Change type to ‘Job Subcontract’

  3. Add same part number as the recently created job

  4. Add part quantity

  5. Add ‘Job’

  1. Select ‘Operation’

  2. Click ‘Save’

  3. Enter 'BDP' into header comments

  4. Click ‘Save’

  1. Click ‘Home’

  2. Click bento icon

  3. Search 'Subcontractor Shipment Entry'

  4. Click 'Subcontractor Shipment Entry'

  5. Click '+' icon to create a new subcontractor shipment entry

  6. Enter same 'Supplier ID' as the recently created Purchase Order

  7. Enter 'Ship Via'

  8. Click 'Save'

  9. Click '+' icon on pack lines section

  10. Enter recently created job number

  11. Enter 'Operation'

  12. ‘Shipped Qty', ‘Part Number’, ‘PO’, ‘Line’, 'Release’ automatically prefilled

    1. Note: PO should be the same number as the PO you just created

  13. Click 'Save'

  1. Log into BDP

NOTE: Linked subcontractor shipment record is highlighted on board when hovering cursor over record
