# How to Disable Equipment in Epicor

1. In **Epicor**, open the search bar and type "Equipment".\ <br>

2. Select **Equipment** from the results.

3. Once the Equipment Maintenance screen opens, in the Equipment list, find the specific asset and click on the specific equipment to be disabled.

4. In the Equipment Details tab, click on the **Inactive** checkbox.\ <br>

5. Click the Save icon to save.

6. In ERM, verify if the Enabled (Kinetic) checkbox is now unchecked. This confirms the asset has been successfully disabled and synchronized across systems.\ <br>

   **Note:** Disabling an asset prevents it from being scheduled for new service or rental activities while maintaining its historical data for reporting.
